Message from the Headmaster:
"Norbel has been a source of light for what can be a dark world for a learning disabled child"
Norbel School has been providing personalized, quality education for children with learning differences for over 25 years. Finding the right educational environment for your child can mean the difference between having a happy, successful child or a child who continually experiences failure. Our children are the very first to know that they are not learning as well as, or as quickly as, their peers. This often leads to feelings of inadequacy, high levels of frustration, and anxiety. Not only does this impact on the child's personal level of success, but can impact on the child's social and emotional growth as well. It is imperative for the parents, educators, and evaluating professionals to recognize these signs and act quickly to provide an educational setting that can address the child's specific learning needs, build on the child's strengths, and nuture the wonderful, innate qualities within these young individuals.
There is no shame in having a learning disability. Having a learning disability does not negate academic potential or ability to succeed. It simply means our children learn differently and require a unique approach. How lucky our children are to have knowledgeable professionals in the field, numerous school and community resources, and a plethora of technological supports. We are coming of age, and growth opportunities for our learning disabled children are better than ever.
As parents and as educators, our ultimate goal is to grow our youth into happy, self-sufficient, and successful adults. This does not occur by chance, but requires nurturing, guidance, an appropriate educational environment, and community. Norbel School is that educational environment. I speak to you not only as a professional in the field, but as a parent of a happy, self-sufficient, and successful learning disabled adult, a product of Norbel School. Norbel School is the answer.
