Interpersonal Skills Development
Students at Norbel are actively taught personal relationship skills
and the importance of self-respect and self-acceptance. Through
purposefully defined weekly lesson, daily interactions and situational
lessons, students learn the language of social behavior, dialogue
about social upsets and personal decision-making, and analyze the
consequences of their decisions and actions. A motivational system
of chips (for our young, Lower School students) and points (for
our Lower and Upper School students) helps students do their personal
best. Students work in tandem with their teachers to develop needed
skills for improved social development, self-awareness, and schoolwork habits.
