A Home of its Own:

After two and one-half decades of growth, Norbel School now serves more than 100 students with learning differences from elementary through high school. Norbel, after being housed in rented space for 21 years, relocated in the Fall of 2001 to Historic Elkridge in Howard County, Maryland.

This new location just south of the Baltimore Beltway, is convenient for families in the greater Baltimore-Washington area, and the renovated 25,000 square foot building enables Norbel to accommodate a larger student body and expanded programs. Designed with the needs of it's student body in mind, Norbel now boasts The Merritt-Multi Media Center, a three story interactive media center, state of the art computing capabilities, modern science laboratory, private speech and occupational therapy rooms, independent living centers, a performing arts center, student lounges, art studio, music and tutoring rooms. The eight-acre campus is nestled in the quite community of Elkridge and includes a soccer field, basketball court and an accessible playground.
