Admissions Process and Checklist:
Once you have received your information packet, the following checklist will help guide you through the remaining process:
  • Review admission packet. After reviewing all admission materials, feel free to make note of specific questions or concerns that you would like to have answered during your tour. The school website, www.norbelschool.org, is also a wonderful resource to gain additional information about the Norbel community.
  • Schedule a personal tour. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about Norbel School and see our community in action.
  • Schedule a two-day visit for your child. After your personal tour, if you and the school wish to continue with the admissions process, your child will be invited to visit during two consecutive school days. The visit gives your child a chance to meet potential classmates and gives our teachers and administration the opportunity to determine whether or not Norbel School can meet your child's individual needs effectively.
  • Submit a completed application and copies of all academic/neuro-psychological evaluations.
  • School Admission Team meeting. The Admissions Director, Head of School, Assistant to Head of School, and School Psychologist will review the submitted application and additional materials to determine if Norbel is a good fit for your child. You will receive a letter of determination within 10 days of the team meeting.
  • Once accepted, submit the enrollment contract and deposit to secure a placement. Once we have these two items, your child's space is guaranteed.
Please note:
  • Norbel School has a rolling admissions policy. That is, we do not have an admissions deadline and we accept new students throughout the year contingent upon availability of space. Space availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • To maintain our low student to teacher ratio, a wait list may be necessary.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions regarding any part of the admissions process.
